My husband didn't want to do installation so they recommended someone to us, however if there is a problem with installation it is not there responsibility.

Can I replace my pool wall without replacing the entire pool?

In many cases, yes. If your pool’s frame, uprights, top rails and other components are still in good condition, you may only need to replace the damaged wall. This can save you the cost of a complete new pool while allowing you to keep compatible equipment, plumbing, ladder and other existing components.

How do I know if my above-ground pool wall needs to be replaced?

Rust, corrosion, bulging, buckling, cracks, holes and significant steel deterioration are common signs that a pool wall may need replacement. Pay particular attention to the bottom of the wall, skimmer opening, return fittings and vertical seams. If the steel has lost structural strength, replacing the liner alone will not solve the problem.

Will a replacement pool wall fit my existing pool frame?

It can, but compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. Matching the pool diameter alone does not guarantee a proper fit because manufacturers may use different wall heights, bolt-hole patterns, uprights, top rails, seams and connection hardware. PTL Direct recommends providing your pool measurements, model information and photographs so we can help confirm compatibility.

How do I measure my pool for a replacement wall?

Measure the actual pool dimensions rather than relying only on the original advertised size.For a round pool, measure the pool's actual diameter. For an oval pool, measure the overall length and width. PTL Direct also recommends using a string to measure from bolt hole to bolt hole for the most accurate fit. Also confirm the wall height, skimmer location, connection points and bolt-hole pattern. PTL Direct can help verify your measurements before you order.

Are PTL Direct replacement pool walls compatible with other pool brands?

Yes, many PTL Direct replacement walls can be used with other pool brands when the dimensions and connection points are compatible. Our 52" replacement walls are designed for round and oval pools and can be particularly useful for older or discontinued models. Because manufacturers use different designs, compatibility should always be confirmed before ordering.

What are PTL Direct replacement pool walls made from?

PTL Direct replacement walls are manufactured in Canada using heavy-gauge, roll-formed steel with deep corrugation for added structural strength and impact resistance. The steel features a protective baked-on coating designed to resist corrosion, scratching and UV exposure. Replacement-wall kits also use stainless-steel hardware at key connection points for improved long-term durability.

Can I replace a rusted or damaged section of my pool wall?

It depends on the severity and location of the damage. Minor surface rust may be repairable, but deep corrosion, holes, splits or significant deformation can compromise the wall’s structural strength. For extensive damage, replacing the complete wall is often the better solution. PTL Direct can help determine whether a replacement wall is appropriate for your pool.

What is included with a replacement pool wall?

A standard PTL Direct 52" replacement-wall kit includes the 52" corrugated steel pool wall, pool skimmer cut-out and stainless-steel hardware. A replacement liner is required but sold separately and must match the pool’s dimensions and liner configuration. Compatible existing equipment, plumbing and other components may be reused if they remain in good condition.
