Directions for Use

Preparation (Important)

• Allow chlorine levels to drop to 0 ppm.

• Adjust pH to 7.0.

• Backwash or clean filter, then turn it off.

• Remove plastics (covers, hoses, cleaners).

• Do NOT swim or run filtration during treatment until water is rebalanced and sanitized.

Recent Stains & Vinyl Liners

Pools:

• Add 200g per 10,000 litres (1.2kg per 60,000L), dissolved in 10L of water.

• Pour around pool edges.

Spas:

• Add 100g per 2,000 litres.

After 24 hours, brush walls and floors. If stains fade, restore pH to 7.2 using a similar quantity of Alkalinity Up.

Severe or Old Stains

• Double the standard dose (2.4kg per 60,000L).

• Pre-dissolved hydrochloric acid may be added to further lower pH:

  • Vinyl Pools: 500 mL per 10,000L

  • Fiberglass Pools: 1L per 10,000L

  • Concrete Pools: 2L per 10,000L (plaster, pebble, quartz finish)

  • Painted pools (good condition): use fiberglass dosage

To complete severe stain treatment:

• Raise pH back to 7.2 using 2kg of Alkalinity Up, pre-dissolved and added hourly with filter running.
